Review of The Green Hornet (2011) by Ben D — 20 Jan 2013
I didn't see this movie in 3D but I struggle to see how that would have made a difference.
If ever an example was needed encouraging studios to stop making cheap superheroes/ graphic novel adaptations this is it! The green Hornet is slow moving for the majority and rushed and clumsy elsewhere.
With no stand out performances and only mild moments to make you smile, mostly unintentionally through action sequences, rather than through script writing the Green Hornet is a background movie at best.
The only positive is the hornets sidekick Kato who does kick ass however the script writing makes it near impossible for any actor to come out of this with any credit, for example Seth Rogan (green hornet) is a fool from start to finish, and it gets rather annoying.
In short don't expect too much, if you did you'll only end up getting stung!! Sorry, couldn't resist.
