Review of The Green Hornet (2011) by David M — 26 Nov 2014
This might sound off-topic a bit, but bear with me.
So: Batman Begins? The bit where Bruce Wayne is doing his play-boy act, taking a couple of girls to a restaurant? Now, imagine if that 'act' was the reality, and his Batman was the act? Also imagine that that film had his sidekick Robin in it.
That's more-or-less the premise behind this film: it's not the character who takes all the credit that is the hero, but rather his partner. Kinda like if Robin did all the leg-work, with Batman taking the credit, or if it was Watson (and not Holmes) who solved all the crimes.
All-in-all, this was largely forgettable and only fitfully funny, despite an extended action sequence towards the finale.
