The Green Hornet succeeds in delivering a fine touch of both comedy and action into a more "original" type of superhero movie, that should be admired by most audience members. However, it contains one major flaw that unfortunately does not suit well with many fans of the particular comic book character.

The movie takes it's comedic aspect too far, that it entirely disturbs the main core subject of the original Green Hornet character, featured in the comics and classic radio series, residing in the mystery and suspense genre.

The movie itself as an action-spoof creates a new image of the Green Hornet, which makes him become much less mature than in the original story-arc. To be faithful to the original core subject, is one of the most important aspects for the filmmakers to follow while producing a comic-book film adaption.

I do believe that the Green Hornet does at least deserve a fresh rating on the tomato-meter because it is quite passable for an entertaining action comedy, and the filmmakers had done a good job in converting the old comic book character into a more modern context.

It was a delight to watch nonetheless!
