Review of The Green Berets (1968) by Hanna S — 27 Sep 2007
Despite the older production quality of this movie, and some glaring "realism" problems, this movie is a classic for its role in breaking into the "Vietnam War Movie" genre we all know and love and associate with much later films by Kubrick, Scott, and Gibson. John Wayne gained a large amount of support from the actual U.S. Army Special Forces to make the movie.
Overall, I just enjoy it. It's a good movie with a great cast and excellent action. If you like war movie classics, you should check it out.
