Review of The Greatest Story Ever Told (1965) by Paul D — 09 Apr 2009
There's not a lot of flexibility in the storyline as it's pretty much a by the word depiction of Christ. Most performances are solemn in fitting with the style, which makes it a slow but not an uninteresting film.
Packed with names, perhaps the most interesting appearance is from John Wayne, who gets just one line. Blink and you'll miss him.
