Review of The Greatest Showman (2017) by Damien L — 04 Mar 2018
The Greatest Showman moves quickly and tries to encapsulate a lot in a short amount of time, but the moments lingers on are phenomenal. The original songs are worth a viewing on their own, but the sheer joy the cast must have felt making this movie washes over the theater as well.
This is unapologetically a "feel-good" movie and it accomplishes that goal. Zendaya and Zac Efron have astonishing chemistry and Hugh Jackman turns in a performance on par with his performance in Les Miserables.
The songs, especially "The Greatest Show" and "Never Enough" are instant classics for anyone who loves musicals.
