The Greatest Showman. Not only was this film entertaining, but it was soulful, with all the cinematic wonder and magic that we've come to expect from modern day film. I'm not sure that the critics who've so harshly judged this film watched the same movie that I did.

This movie pulled me into an elegant waltz, entrancing me with its visuals and stunning performances, holding me in a place of awe and wonder with songs that enriched its plot and brought tears streaming down my cheeks for the majority of its runtime.

I was enthralled from start to finish with this gorgeous piece of art. It reminded me why I fell in love with the idea of the circus, why we love to be amazed. There is something extraordinary about a group of people coming together with the shared goal of creating an atmosphere of wonder for an audience, if only for a brief night in their lives.

And not only did this film convey that sensation beautifully, but it crafted its message of self-acceptance with a delicate but powerful touch that only masterful direction combined with incomparable talent could deliver.

I can't sing its praises enough.
