I am truly surprised by the negative reviews of this film, and I assume they were written by critics who simply hate musicals. The cast is brilliant, the script is superb, and the directing and cinematography stunning.
The music is memorable and the lyrics clever. Even if one hates music, the story is well worth the telling, and the movie well worth watching.
