The Greatest Showman is solidly mediocre. It doesn't really try to do anything new, and it doesn't do what it does particularly well. The songs are routine, the choreography clunky, the tone and feel of the film is all over the place -- overall, I just found it really disappointing.
It's not actively bad (well, some parts are, but for the most part), but I would have been upset if I had paid money to see it (I got a free viewing at the theater).
