Review of The Greatest Showman (2017) by H L — 29 Jun 2018
I was forced to watch this film by my younger sister and was interested to see how realistic the movie was and if it had to rely too much on the charm of its cast rather than the plot and was unshocked to see that I indeed was correct with my suspicions.
An overly sentimental film with average performances, despite the untiring wit of Hugh Jackman which continues to shine even in this movie (and also saves this film from getting a 2 star rating), this film does not remain true to the real story but instead tries to teach a meaningful message but fails due to a truly poor script.
Perhaps I am being a bit harsh, but I really do not like this movies and due to its predictable script and poor acting performances.
