Review of The Greatest Show on Earth (1952) by Ice R — 18 Aug 2009
This felt more like watching a circus show than a movie. It didn't flow smoothly, frequently switching from dragged out circus acts, to Demille's annoying voiceover, to a love triangle. I can see politically why this won Best Picture in 1952, but High Noon and the unnominated Singin' in the Rain are on another level.
