Review of The Greatest Game Ever Played (2005) by Petros T — 27 Dec 2010
Another conventional family film by Disney which, surprisingly, isn't annoyingly repetitive. It doesn't avoid plot holes, though, which are filled by predictable drama sequences. The finale was a major cliche, while the quarrel between father and son is a theme used in half (or all) of the genre's movies.
On the other hand, it is watchable from the beginning to the end, it features decent turns from LaBeouf, Koteas, Marcus & Flitter and includes well-shot golf scenes (especially the title game).
