The thought of someone starting out with no goals in life and ending up in Vietnam on a whim and some Dutch courage at a pub was really interesting, so I watched the movie without doing any previous research.
keeping a commitment, learning about himself, and learning about a conflict that America lost but keeps coming back to in an effort to mend old scars. Excellent performances are given by the cast, but Zac Efron is always on camera.
Bill Murray and Russell Crowe provide their support. What appears to be a lighthearted movie abruptly becomes a harsher account of how politicians may sway the populace.
