Review of The Great Yokai War (2005) by Matthew G — 28 Jul 2007
I found this movie pretty entertaining for a kids movie. It reminded me a lot of "The Neverending Story" and a little of "Little Monsters". Many aspects of the film come off like a cartoon which is kind of interesting when it looks intentional - other times it just looks like bad CGI.
It's definitely not Miike's best work, but worth a watch if you're interested in a kids movie that's a little diferent from the norm.
