Review of The Great Wall (2016) by Kai K — 20 Feb 2017
Chinese movie industry has come a long way. Only a few years ago the best Chinese fantasy movies were still about Tunnel Warfare against the Japanese Army during WWII. This movie is not the best, biggest, and most impressive movie of its genre.
Still we should be impressed by how much progress the Chinese movie-making industry has made in only a few years. Its attempt to combine the best traits of western style movies with the Eastern culture deserves at least some applause from its its audience.
