Review of The Great Wall (2016) by Lachlan E — 02 Mar 2017
The action scenes are great eye candy, but don't expect anything more of it or you'll be left disappointed. Zhang Yimou should've been left alone to complete a proper masterpiece without interferencr from U.
S. firms and management. It screams out to be loved by Western audiences, yet it forgets the essence that makes an Eastern film brilliant in the first place - A strong and genuine story from the locals.
