Review of The Great Wall (2016) by Jojo S — 02 Mar 2017
For some reason (namely due to Matt Damon being the lead actor) I was expecting more from the movie. The plot was weak, the (Too many/too long) fighting scenes didn't allow enough time to take a more in depth look at the characters, the too many characters didn't allow time to bond/empathize with any of the characters and overall I just wish they had less visual effects and more Damon, Pascal and Dafoe interactions.
And that they had a closer look at Pen Yong (the young soldier Damon saved and that sacrificed himself towards the end).
