Review of The Great Wall (2016) by Jaime L — 03 Jun 2017
Yes this is silly fluff and is not as exciting as the trailer wanted to make it look like but as a turn your brain off kind of film it mostly succeeds. Not sure I ever need to see it again unless its a "nothing else to do but watch The Great Wall" situation.
Should have seen it in the theater though, tv at home simply does not do the visuals justice. That is the main star in the film, not Damon or any of the Chinese actors, its the wall. Nothing else is really memorable about the film after all except for the two main fight scenes at the start and end of the movie.
Shame, hoped for more.
