Review of The Great Wall (2016) by Al Hoff for Pittsburgh City Paper — 18 Dec 2017
This film isn't nearly as bad as the trailer makes it look. Zhang Yimou's actioner The Great Wall turns out to be pretty entertaining (in a basic man-vs.-monster fashion), beautiful to look at and not a white-man-as-savior embarrassment.
