Review of The Great Raid (2005) by Bugi P — 21 Feb 2010
This film contains a true story which is regarded as the most successful rescue in the history of American troops. But somehow I do not get a feel of it after watching this movie. So, no great saving action, it was just a long dialogue that leads to boredom watching.
Indeed, war movies have an element of drama that is stronger than any movie, but this movie can not highlight the dramatic side dynamically, so that could help these boring stories. Ending what was supposed to inspire action scene turned into the shooting aimlessly, like a regular action movie.
Finally, if indeed this is the most successful rescue, my last question, "Are not there more great saving can be done the American army??".
