Review of The Great Outdoors (1988) by Bill R — 07 Feb 2008
This is, to me, one of the most underrated comedies ever.
So many funny moments - the shotgun lamp, the "blow it out your ass" argument, the raccoons who talk, the bald-headed bear, the water-skiing sequence, the bear attack while John Candy is in the car( and while he's driving). Honestly, outside of Edgar Wright and Judd Apatow, no one else is able to make this kind of comedy anymore, which is sad.
