Review of The Great Outdoors (1988) by Dustin G — 27 Sep 2009
When John Candy found a formula that worked for him in the 80's he stuck to it. The Great Outdoors follows that formula to a tee, and given that very few 80's John Candy comedies are actually memorable (except for Planes, Trains and Automobiles), that makes this movie good for an afternoon of turn your brain off and laugh occasionally at a movie you'll forget you watched tomorrow.
