After finally getting round to seeing The Great Outdoors I can say it was one of the better John Candy comedy's! Not quite as good as "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" or "Uncle Buck" but certainly the third best! The film revolves around Romans unexpected journey to join Chet on his family vacation with a plan up his sleeve, Chet's eldest son wooing a girl and a giant bear! A lot of fun to be had!
