Review of The Great Outdoors (1988) by Spam S — 29 Oct 2014
I think The Great Outdoors is the movie that writer John Hughes is starting to lack for his recent movies, but it's actually all right. Dan Ackoryid and John Candy are the best part in the movie and they're almost enough for me to like it.
But lots of the jokes are lacking in good humor, and I wasn't that interested in what's going to happen. It uses pop culture references in the movie which really took me out of it and find it out of place and distracting.
I didn't hate it as there's some funny moments in it, but I felt a little disappointed consider that there's two talented comedians, and there's not enough funny moments in it for me to think that it's good.
