Review of The Great Muppet Caper (1981) by Shane C — 09 Nov 2007
This movie has it all! Puppets being thrown against walls, doing karate, riding motorcycles, dancing, dangling from ceilings, and hitting people with jewels with their goofy puppet arms. If anyone of these other reviewers give it less than 4 stars, it's probably because they prefer those crappy CGI movies and no doubt live in their parents' basement, sleeping on a fold-out couch covered in cheetos dust.
Crappy over-perfected computer images can't hold a candle to the inherent visual comedy of using puppet actors. Jim Henson had more directorial and writing talent in his left ear lobe than the Dreamworks and Pixar directors and their legions of scriptwriters have combined.
