Review of The Great Muppet Caper (1981) by Wesley D — 05 Dec 2011
Just seen this one actually. Jim Henson's directorial debut, The Great Muppet Caper, is arguably the best of the Muppet Movies, though the original Muppet movie and the latest one are also great contenders.
Chocked full of jokes and gags and cameos and self referential humour as you would expect from the Muppets, as well as the most over the top Broadway style songs and even some action and adventure! One of the best highlights of the film has to be the scene with John Cleese, in which Miss Piggy breaks into his house.
Besides, he has a wife with the best name ever, Dorcas!
