Review of The Great Mouse Detective (1986) by Angel J — 06 Dec 2010
In my opinion, this is one of Disney's animation's underrated achievements and classic that should be recognized by all those who love animation and storylines that are concrete and depth. This really explores the darkness and disturbing moments of Disney Animation that can be seen by both Adults and Children.
This film is truly a great piece of work and advanced animation at work. The lighting and color schemed chosen by the illustrators and artist deliver a great idea of the low light environment of London and the darkness of villains.
Overall, this film delivers where a lot of animations don't, great visuals with darkened stories for both children and adults.
