Review of The Great Mouse Detective (1986) by Kate H — 06 Jun 2011
Seen this loads of time but I only recently acquired myself a DVD copy. One of my top five disney films for sure and not just because I'm a Sherlock Holmes slave. I actually read a couple of the Basil of Baker Street books when I was a kid and I remember really liking them.
It's a great little adventure story if not too much of a good mystery. It has wonderful characters, especially Vincent Price as a deliciously evil Professor Ratigan, and an absolutely thrilling climax on top, and inside, of Big Ben.
