Review of The Great Mouse Detective (1986) by Andreas O — 29 Nov 2011
Here's one that's as fun and enjoyable today as it ever was. Disney's homage to Sherlock Holmes is ripe with great characters, glowing comedy and memorable scenes, as well as smooth animation and engaging storytelling.
And let's not forget Professor Ratigan. DAMN that guy is one creepy villain - for sure one of the best Disney has yet to give us, and voiced by horror legend Vincent Price no less! The Great Mouse Detective is every bit a great movie, to be enjoyed by kids and adults alike.
