Review of The Great Mouse Detective (1986) by Kieran F — 21 Feb 2012
I don't think this is Disney's best movie, but I'd be lying if I said it was devoid of anything enjoyable. Vincent Price gives a hilariously devious performance, the opening is great, it's the first Disney movie to use computer-based graphics, and it has a pretty dang memorable cast.
There was a lot of effort put into it, but I don't think it's as memorable as most other Disney films. Still, I think it's worth a watch if only for Vincent Price's performance.
