Review of The Great Lie (1941) by Allen D — 30 Dec 2008
Pretty good film starring Bette Davis as a woman who marries George Brent (after he and his "wife" Mary Astor had a little wedding complications). He gets lost in a plane crash and Davis discovers that Astor is pregnant with Brent's child.
Good story and Mary Astor is great (in her Oscar winning role), the film has a good pace and is never dull. Davis is great as she usually is, though I was hoping Astor was in the film more.
