Review of The Great Gatsby (2013) by A7Sus4 — 10 May 2013
I wasn't sure what to expect, but my expectations were relatively high. They were high however for Luhrmann's "thing" and here he frankly walks a pretty straight and narrow. The movie is a solid "good" movie, wonderful costumes, acting/casting.
.. but it never really took off the way I imagined the director would make it.
