I *KNEW* it was a Baz Luhrman film from the minute it started -- it felt very familiar and as the movie went on, I realized why -- it is VERY similar to Moulin Rouge [his other movie, that IMO is a much better movie than this one was], just not as good.
Good adaptation of the book [which I had just re-read so it was pretty fresh], very flashy and showy [and yet Leonardo never completely convinces me that he is a GOOD Gatsby] and yet it still felt [and fell] flat.
