Review of The Great Gatsby (2013) by Bud R — 31 Aug 2014
Characters is what draws viewers to a film and the "The Great Gastby's" character are magnetic. One the viewer is drawn into such a film it is the art that keeps them enthralled and the message that it is building that holds their attention.
This film had many beautiful scenes but the music score was poorly chosen for the time period portrayed and some of the scenes appeared almost cartoonist . Finally it is the message that allows the viewer to hold onto the images after the credits roll that truly showcases this art.
This is where The Great Gatsby is truly great! A message told of love like no other film has done in the past. The "Great Gatsby" might be an old story but it is a story that lives throughout the times.
