I had a really great time with this movie! I read the book for AP English and the movie came almost immediately after, and yes it would have been a bit difficult to find the deep meanings for someone who hasn't read the book; but I do believe the cast was great and conveyed the mystery of a new society built around morals of the city perfectly.
