Review of The Great Gatsby (2013) by Lacrospi L — 30 Jun 2014
I haven't read the book. Maybe that's why I liked this movie, at least enough to give it 4 stars. After watching it I found out that it is available in 3-d; I can see that it would add even more to the massive party scenes, and it might make the mad car-driving actually watchable.
Overall, it's a great love story, set in an age of contrasting opulence and poverty, and with some modern music segued in to make it relevant to younger watchers.
