Not exactly Chaplin:s funniest film but I love how he took the way America was and shoved it in it's face. It does have it's really funny moments. How he just makes up words when he is supposed to be speaking German, I don't think "cheese and Crackers" is a German word, but then again I could be mistaken.

And then you add all of the silliness with Paulette Goddard and the frying pan, she was actually a very attractive woman and I could see why Chaplin took a shine to her. The film is probably not Chaplin's best, but it's one of them because he was not afraid to go there, he was edgy, and I can admire that.
