Review of The Great Dictator (1940) by Lucy N — 08 Apr 2010
Best Chaplin movie in my opinion. Serious, funny and sad, all at the same time. Playing two characters at the same time, each one having his great scene: the most famous globe scene for the dictator and the final speech for the barber. During that moment, Chaplin is speaking to the world, he´s no longer acting. Only few actors had that power.
This a great film and I don´t understand why is not included in some lists.
