Review of The Great Dictator (1940) by Alex S — 05 Jan 2011
This movie is brilliance, sheer brilliance. I love Charlie Chaplin all the more for seeing this. The movie was hilarious, dramatic, and had a serious message. Being that its release date was 1940, it was also a daring film for the time, and remains so.
There are moments that are so touching, especially the end. And hearing Chaplin talk is a treat within itself. Just see this already!
