Review of The Great Dictator (1940) by Brandon M — 03 Jan 2010
It is indeed a funny film but quite possibly has the most memorable speech in film for me. Chaplin's first "talkie" is one of the best satires of all time and a joy to watch, do yourself a favor and GO SEE THIS!
It has aged well for its period matter, Chaplin was a comedic genius, comedic directors such as Mel Brooks couldn't be anywhere without Chaplin.
