Review of The Great Debaters (2007) by Johnny ? — 08 Aug 2009
The movie is a fast two hours of great drama. It is a good story about being black in 1930s rural Texas where they lynch blacks just because they are.
The acting and directing are superb. The audience claps both during and after the movie.
You root for the underdog boo the bullys, rejoice with the victories, cry with the injustices, and are outraged with the cruel way human beings treat one another.
The movie is an emotional roller coaster that leaves you uplifted.
Definitely worth seeing and Oscar worthy.
