Review of The Great Debaters (2007) by Bob W — 07 Feb 2010
Poingnant, perceptive, penatrating. more than another feel good film about black achievement. though not overly complex in the telling, it provides sufficient incite into in the vagaries of motives and means of the characters.
forrest whitaker is especially compelling as farmer, sr. the wrought-iron backboned, articulate dean who quietly, almost sublimily proves himself a great debater of social conscience and justice.
