Review of The Great Buck Howard (2008) by Ersavas G — 24 May 2009
A talented and eccentric mentalist finds a new manager in the form of Tom Hankâ??s son, a law school drop out trying to find something eventful and entertaining to do with his life. This he finds in John Malkovichâ??s Buck Howard whose finale trick has amazed audiences for years and whose secret is known by no one.
This film ponders finding oneâ??s place, as Buck realizes his home is in small, personal venues far from the glitz, glamour, and inauthentic charade of Vegas. A mostly fun, very watchable film with an uplifting, almost Hollywood ending.
Worth a watch.
