Review of The Great Buck Howard (2008) by Matt D — 15 Jul 2009
This movie is full of great acting, especially from John Malkovich. In fact, as I was watching it, I was convinced that Buck Howard was a real person and the movie was a biopic. The film is a great character study, showing us an eccentric entertainer's life from washing up and his attempts to recover.
The various celebrities playing themselves added a nice, realistic touch to the film. The Great Buck Howard is one of those comedies you can watch with anyone (age 8 to 80) and get a lot of laughs. It's not getting a lot of publicity, but it's definitely worth your time.
