Most of the times, when watching movies about famous people from before my arrival to this country (2003) I really wish I was more familiar with American pop culture from those times. It is impossible to watch a movie like this one, with not knowledge whatsoever about who this character is, and not feeling a bit lost.
I really believe I miss stuff that should be more obvious to me and therefore I get a bit uninterested. I don't regret watching this movie because I have always liked Malkovich but as far as his character goes I could not care less.
