John malkovich is great as the great howard, which is loosely based on the amazing kreskin, a mentalist who appeared on carson's tonight show. unusual surprising cameos range from george takei ("sulu" on star trek) to jon stewart.
tom hanks playing his son's father in the movie is a real treat.
