Phenomenal adaptation of one of my favorite books. Henry Fonda IS Tom Joad. Couldn't imagine anyone else giving the "I'll be there" speech. Jane Darwell won an Oscar as the beaten by the world yet holding her family together Ma. John Carradine is great, and has the perfect initials for his character (John Casey) and obvious religious antecedent.
Man, California cops suck - Casey, Rodney King...
