Review of The Grapes of Wrath (1940) by Elizabeth G — 14 Sep 2007
Part of what makes this book so beautiful, is the ending. Though it was changed in the movie (understandable, especially in the 40s), this film was still poignantly touching. Had no idea that famous line (I'll be there.
..) was from this movie. This story is so sad and the heart-wrenching themes found within are still a pervasive part of our modern capitalistic society. Tragic.
