A true American classic, and a very noble film...if you can watch this movie and not feel some sympathy for today's illegal immigrants, then you may very well be a jerk. Thanks to the Cold War and the stigma of Soviet communism, we've really lost sight of what true socialism is all about.
For those who don't agree with Steinbeck's socialist concepts....well, you just haven't been poor enough.
