Review of The Grapes of Wrath (1940) by Serge S — 31 Aug 2008
There's a point in the movie where you begin to expect the worst to happen. The sad story is really good but the movie is missing a few things, few important things. The trip itself is as much as a character as any one of the family members that's not thought about, a few scenes that were "funny" were really odd and then THE MUSIC! I saw at least several moments that needed music, really so many B&W movies were big on that WTF?
